Brigitte Macron is on the last leg of an Eastern European tour with her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron. She made a striking impression earlier today in Bulgaria, pulling out the bolding look in her travel wardrobe so far. This comes on the (very high) heels of Macron sporting a motocross-inspired jacket and sheath dress yesterday in Romania, and a fire engine red frock in Austria, both designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton, a French house she has relied on almost exclusively for public appearances. Today’s dress captured the same energy only with a markedly new twist—a glittering ruffle trim.
Macron and her husband took in the sights of Varna, a coastal tow—perhaps the undulating line of her dress was a reference to the nearby Black Sea? Likely not, but the sparkilng micro-paillettes in shades of turquoise, green, and colbalt blue, were certainly a nice way to update the classic navy shift.
