Snakeskin print is already proving to be one of Spring’s biggest breakout trends. At the season’s Off-White show in September, Virgil Abloh did it in neon greens, applying it onto everything from puffers to dresses; at Saint Laurent, it was all about the snakeskin boots, which were slightly slouchy with a pointy toe. It didn’t take long for celebrities to get on board: Bella Hadid and A$AP Rocky have both recently stepped out in snakeskin pants, while Queen Letizia of Spain has even done it as well, in a more royal-approved skirt version.
The latest megawatt celebrity to slither into the trend and take it to the next level: Kim Kardashian West. Known as the queen of all things monochromatic, she couldn’t help but wear the exotic print from head to toe—treating it as a second skin, if you will. Kardashian West was spotted in Paris (doing some shopping at Hermès) in an oversize snakeskin jacket, which she styled with a matching printed top and snakeskin trousers, slightly flared at the leg. On her feet, snakeskin boots—with a pointy toe—really committed to the aesthetic. In her hands, she then carried a croc Hermès Birkin bag, while black rectangular sunglasses added a sophisticated finishing touch.
The verdict? While snakeskin separates are sure to add a modern touch to any ensemble, Kardashian West’s all-over take is the season’s mic-drop and look to beat.
