Salma Hayek Harnesses the Power of Subtle and Sophisticated Style at the Golden Globes

Tonight’s Golden Globe Awards struck an appropriately sober note as legions of Hollywood’s leading ladies wore black to show solidarity with the #MeToo movement. Among them was Salma Hayek, who recently wrote a powerful op-ed in The New York Times detailing her harrowing account of sexual harassment at the hands of Harvey Weinstein during the making of Frida.

The actress proved just how powerful and elegant the why-we-wear-black dress code can be this evening when she arrived in a goddess-worthy Ralph & Russo Couture dress with demure, full sleeves and a sweeping hem that fell to the floor. She took a restrained approach to accessories, save for a Tyler Ellis clutch in spangly silver. Hayek, 51, later took to the stage to present a clip for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri,” which won the award for Best Motion Picture, captivating the audience with her chic composure.
